"Have had a very nice few days at the cottage. Had everything we needed, couldn't have asked for a nicer place or location. Would definitely come back again."

"Many thanks - even in January it has been possible to enjoy Fountains Abbey, Rievaulx Abbey, Byland Abbey, Durham, Ripon, York, Beverley and Selby. So lots to do and see."

"An ideal location for a few relaxing days on our way to Scotland. Lovely walk through the village and the Nature Reserve. Plenty of cooking pots and pans."

"Comfortable cottage in a most peaceful location. Can thoroughly recommend the Bluebell at Arkendale - excellent food and staff. For a special occasion afternoon tea on "Countess of York" in the National Railway Museum. Knaresborough is a most interesting town with incredible views from the Castle down the gorge to the river and viaduct. Cottage ideally situated to visit so many different places in the area including Harrogate and York".
J and M 21st - 28th October 2017
"Cosy and peaceful location but plenty to do in the surrounding area. Knaresborough, Skipton, Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks worth a visit. Plenty of golf courses in the area within easy reach. Thank you once again for making our stay very comfortable would highly recommend."
S and R 16th - 20th October 2017
"A delightful cottage....we visitied Fountains Abbey, Knaresborough, Staveley Nature Reserve, Harrogate and Ripon Cathedral. Ripon good on a Thursday as Market day and the Cathedral is free. The 3 in 1 museum ticket good too - great for a rainy day. Peaceful cottage, friendly people. A verger at the Cathedral was from Kent and another local in the museum from London all ended up here - We can understand why!"
C and R 5th - 8th October 2017
"A great few days and very lucky with the weather. Brimham rocks a spectacular formation of rocks, you can walk and climb around as much as you like. RHS Harlow Carr Gardens are amazing and from here you can walk quite easily to the Valley Gardens in Harrogate and into Harrogate itself - so worth doing. Thank you for a great stay - so central to many places."
